Who are we?

New Terra Farms is a family business owned and operated by mother and son, Dr. Mimi Houlton and Farmer Ryan Tinney. Mimi handles the day to day operations and outreach while Ryan ensures the overall health and productivity of our garden.

After years as a practicing physician, Dr. Mimi wanted to try a new approach to health and wellness rooted in nutrition, community, and prevention. As a resident of St. Petersburg for over 30 years, she loves helping our community get and stay as healthy as possible without massive medical bills and invasive treatment.

Farmer Ryan started his gardening journey in 2013 after some super market produce left a bad taste in his mouth, thinking “Heck, I could do better than this!” That started a journey that’s taken him across the country, from a garden hand to a full time farm manager. Now back in St. Pete, Ryan wants to bring his knowledge and experience back to his home town with the goal of providing delicious, healthy, and reliable food to our beautiful area.

What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are mini versions of your favorite vegetables and produce. Harvested at such a short size, they have much of the flavor of the full-grown variety, often times more. They provide many of the same health benefits with even more concentrated nutrition.

They also taste delicious on nearly anything like sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, tacos, even breakfast!

Cancel anytime.

Once your order is ready, it will be delivered to your front door in a free, insulated cooler bag that is yours to keep. It will come with an ice pack to keep everything temperature controlled. Each delivery after will require you to put your cooler bag outside on the next day of delivery with your old ice pack. We will bring your new greens, with a fresh ice pack, and place them in your cooler bag, taking the old ice pack with us.

We are also happy to accommodate any special instructions you may have like location of bag placement, time or day of delivery, etc. Contact us after your order is placed and we’ll be happy to help.
